    Tough Day for Kyle

Admitted Kenosha killer Kyle Rittenhouse will be tried for murder, a court in Wisconsin ruled on Thursday afternoon. The decision comes as a blow to the defense, which attempted to argue the defendant acted in self-defense and therefore did not commit a felony.

A self-defense argument necessitates admitting the underlying action was committed by whomever attempts to claim it.

    Should be an interesting trial.

I wasn't on the net much today but I did hear the whole thing. Kyle only shot when he was threatened. Any just jury will find him not guilty

No jury in Kenosha would convict him.

The defense tried to get the case thrown out by arguing self-defense. The prosecution argued that claims of self-defense are normally adjudicated during the trial. The judge decided in favor of the prosecution. Not exactly a fatal blow to Rittenhouse's defense. And as long as the jury decides the case strictly on the law and the facts, Rittenhouse will not be convicted of anything more serious than perhaps unlawful possession of a firearm. There is simply no way in hell any honest, reasonable person can watch the video from that night and say it wasn't a clear case of self-defense. Even the criminal complaint against Rittenhouse, filed by the prosecution, says that Rosenbaum was seen chasing Rittenhouse through a parking lot just prior to being shot.

I saw the video, antifa (out of town bused in thugs) initiated life threatening violence and tried to kill the boy. In all honesty, I'm surprised the boy survived the mob assault on his person and he stayed alive.

I don't know WI law, but it is possible that self defense is not allowed if you are committing a felony (the firearms charge). If that is the case in WI, this would be a perfect case for jury nullification. The tape of the shooting speaks for itself.

I guess...as long as the jury isn't like O.J. Simpsons.
