I wasn't aware that Strieber was the current host of Dreamland. I haven't had occasion to listen to that show since Art Bell was on it. I think the fact that Strieber is a novelist specializing in the weird and supernatural causes a lot of folks to view him and his extraterrestrial "non-fiction" with a greater degree of suspicion than if he did something else for a living. I actually met him at a book signing - I think it was in the L.A. area in the late '80s, and he would have been signing one of the first 'Communion' follow-ups - and he was one of those guys who just disappears in a crowd, he is so unassuming and unremarkable. I asked him what he thought of being played by Christopher Walken in the film version of 'Communion' and he said that when he first heard about it he didn't have a problem with the casting, but after seeing Walken's performance - I forget the words he used, but he didn't really care for it.
