Well, Verizon bought AOL for $4.4 billion in 2015, so clearly it's worth something to somebody.
At any rate, even though AOL eventually declined, the demand for the underlying goods and services that companies like AOL provided increased exponentially. So unless you think digital currencies as a concept are doomed, then I'm not sure why you're so convinced that Bitcoin will fade into obscurity. It just sounds like the same argument that people have been making since Bitcoin first emerged. And the idea that people will lose faith in Bitcoin just isn't supported by the evidence. If anything, faith in Bitcoin has only grown over time. I think it's probably overvalued at the moment, although that is even debatable. The USD denominated market cap for Bitcoin is somewhere around $1 trillion. That's actually not that large when you consider that Bitcoin is the global standard for digital currency.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
