Actually, more men are prone to it than are women. I only know about because my husband has it. He has this tough-guy persona, but he's got to sit a spell after getting a shot or giving blood, because he's going to pass out--it's just going to happen. It makes me snicker.
My wife used to be that way, but seems to have gotten over it in recent years.

The way the nurse in the video described it, in her case is, she tends to faint after experiencing any pain. She even used the example of "stubbing a toe". I reflexively covered my eye just thinking about it, lol.

I remember when I was a kid, 7 or 8, mom came into the family room where dad and I were working on a puzzle, and we looked at her and kinda' like ... uh yeah? She said she hit her crazy bone. We looked at each other, and said well...sorry, but you're ok. At which point, she passed out. Dad sent me next door to get our neighbor, who was a nurse. When she answered the door I told her what happened, and she came with me saying, I never heard of anyone passing out from hitting their crazy bone, you must have misunderstood. When we got there and she asked dad what happened, he said the same thing. She apologized to me for not believing me, and proceeded to try and bring her around, and finally, mom told her the same thing. We were all baffled... But, mom never could stand much pain, and numerous times nearly passed out if I injured myself, and it drew blood. She was such a wus.

Somebody else can have my place in line. The only way they'll give me this vaccine is to strap me down first.

I was at a lab the other day getting blood work done, and the nurse told me they were short five girls who called in sick after receiving the Moderna vaccine the previous day. The nurse working on me said her arm hurt like hell, but she didn't feel sick.
