Feminism failed because it moved away from the idea of legal equality.

so. What definition of feminism are we going to use here? WHOSE definition might be more accurate.
I think you're going to completely focus on the yellow journalism, tabloid coverage of feminism which are the feminazis only and I think the topic is broader than that and really our of the scope of your discussion capabilities.

Over time what we call modern Feminism got hijacked by progressive political causes just like the Environmental Conservation movement of the 70's in this country.

True equality should come with a broad range of choices for women including a devotion to motherhood above all else. Instead it has grown into a collective notion of achievement in the professional workplace and conformity of attitudes. Abortion is almost sacrosanct and even celebrated.

It also creates internal conflicts like when does Feminism take a back seat to charges of racism (OJ Simpson trial) or the Transgender Identity movement we see happening right now.

Did it really even have that. I read NOW's early mission statement...and it didn't have anything to do with equality for women.

The feminists who hate or fear men are generally homosexual. They are also a tiny if loud minority.

That would depend on what the feminist in question has to say.

That's it right there but in their minds it's quite literal. Gender is a social construct after all...

Very interesting article, and I enjoyed reading it.

The notion that the nuclear family is "idealized" and cannot succeed or survive without the government or "collective society" is pure propaganda from the NYT.

It does not take a village to raise a child . It takes a village to teach a child dependence and destroy free thinking . It's the mindset of the weak controlling the weaker.
Key word, communal . Straight from the communist, propaganda mantra of yesteryear.

This is the most straightforward communist OP I've read in years! No reflection on @Adelaide.
    From the OP:

We might even have to reconsider our idealization of the nuclear family, which we’ve now seen cannot really function without the support of broken institutions, to make way for the notion that raising children is a communal obligation, of benefit not just to an individual woman or couple trying “to have it all,” but to society at large.
