I had terrible nightmares after I read his thread.

I dreamed I was also dying. My entire life was represented by things inside these rectangles and triangles that rotated inside a sphere but never outside the parameter of the sphere.

I woke up scared out of my mind. I thought I was living my last minutes on earth. It still scares me to this day.

It was so surreal yet seemed terrifyingly real in the dream

I remember another forum tradition, in which those who want to provide a visual tribute to a departed member change their avatar for a designated period of time. AZJim will be my avatar through Christmas.

Didnt Jim make a thread basically signing off a while ago? I seem to remember that, but maybe I'm wrong. It seemed like his health was in significant decline.

I heard he'd gone into Hospice care, he had cancer.

Our last conversation I told him I was sorry for things I'd said that were mean, he said, "we're good".

    That was it.

I hope he's finally at peace, with his wife.

I drove a hundred mile round trip yesterday to see the Mrs in a nursing home after being dicked around on the phone to be told I could not see her. She wanted me to take her out AMA.

Long story short, she is in for physical rehab, she is getting bedsores, doped up and little rehab. Going insane.

I'm doing my best to get her discharged with a home health referral, ASAP as leaving AMA is stupidly unwise. I'm fed up, ready to consult a lawyer. That's our Christmas...

As for AZ Jim, we had our rows. I hold no malice and wish him at peaceful rest.

So sorry to hear you're going through that. I've always wondered why nursing homes make it difficult to get one's loved ones out -- almost like a prison, it seems. I hope your situation changes for the better--and soon.
