That certainly happens but I think for OSU they were already determined to be highly ranked because of the talent. They were just confirming expectations.
Would you let someone in that lost 3? North Carolina, Iowa State and FL do not belong near the top 10.
USC had no reason to be in the top 10 this season. They are mediocre. That was strictly for the ratings.
Alabama is in a league of its own this year and I only see Ohio State being up for the challenge. But OSU wins against Penn State and IU were weak.
Texas A&M just squeaked by three time loser FL and got trounced by Alabama. Everyone else were just mediocre teams.
Oklhoma got beat by KSU.
So the question really becomes if not OSU then who? My Coastal Carolina team at 11-0 for the reg season? I don't think that would be a good game.
