Many don't eat a proper diet. And the western diet in general isn't all that good for us, without serious tweaking (like eliminating corn fed beef in favor of grass fed beef).

Some people have medical or genetic issues that prevent absorption of some vitamins and minerals.

Many people are deficient in specific vitamins and minerals such as vitamin D and magnesium regardless of how well they eat.

and those people with O+ blood appear to be totally immune from it. My wife is such a person, but we still eat properly.
Only a blood test will show what is needed. To assume with out checking yourself out, can be just as deadly as the virus.
I've said it before, the blood test is the only good test.

I have A+ blood. I did have blood tests for vitamin and mineral levels. My insurance covered it.

Out insurance pays the full bill when we get tested. They test for minerals and vitamin levels and started testing for COVID last year for no additional cost.

We get plenty of outside time, so sunshine is not the problem. We eat fresh veggies from different sources and eat only grass-fed beef (45 years now).
I think it has more to do with how you were raised, those habits that we form when we are younger. I still do 20-30 flights of steps every day. (two story house) We still run the dogs in the fields for exercise (them and us).
I must say, however, that I am a sucker for a real nice ribeye steak (1 1/2 thick) grilled to perfection, with a shot of shine afterwards.
I get some people have problems and I would never suggest my diet for them, but I go with what works for me and Mrs. stjames.

If you spend time outside without bathing in sunscreen you get plenty of vitamin D.

Grass fed beef is great. It big nutritional issue is the Omega 3:6 ratio. Grass fed beef has a health ratio of 1:3 while corn fed beef has an unhealthy ratio of 1:6 or worse. I have another thread that discusses the unhealthy issues related to Omega 6 trans-fatty acids. It may be more harmful (when you have too much compared to the 3s) than sugar.

From what I've read the differences in that ratio between grass fed and corn fed isn't that significant. I would also say that you need Omega 6. It's not harmful per se. In fact, it's critical for human health. It's just that we consume too much of it.
