The logical map is pretty simple.. No human contact = no spread of Covid 19. I think we can agree on that fact..

The question is whether lockdowns achieve enough isolation that the spread is halted... The article you posted would suggest that it doesn't. That I give you.

I think where I mostly disagree is that the lockdowns were some concocted evil plan to destroy America. I can't say I'm a 100% swayed in one direction or the other on whether they should be implemented but I do think people imposing them mean well in what they do.

I am not so sure about that. At the very least they are power mad tyrants who have no place in leadership positions in the US.

The question is what came first? The large outbreak or the lockdowns?

Sweden (I think) didn't do the lockdowns and got off easy at first. And was a model for the anti lockdown crowd. And then they got hit harder and they implemented the lockdowns.

Lockdowns weren't ordered to conduct social distancing.

There are people out there who will tolerate oppressive government as long as enough fear can be generated to claim the oppression is for the greater good. Those people need to break away and create their nanny state somewhere else.

Lock downs were continued unnecessarily to damage the economy.

Note the call for the same ploticians to suddenly open schools and restaurants now.
