And while it may not perhaps to be proven that masks actually work, we don't know with certainty that it doesn't either and being asked to wear one a precaution just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
Another question for you on masks If masks work why do nearly all of the boxes they come in say "not intended for anti viral protection" Or "Not rated for Viral protection" Check it out, it is true even N95 Masks have that warning or something similar.

The study was conducted by researchers affiliated with Stanford University, and was co-authored by Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine and economics who has been a vocal opponent of coronavirus lockdowns since March. Bhattacharya was also among a group of scientists who wrote The Great Barrington Declaration, a controversial statement that encouraged governments to lift lockdown restrictions to achieve herd immunity among young and healthy people, while focusing protections on the elderly.
So one of the authors already had an ax to grind. This is not scientific method.

For additional context, other studies have oppositely determined that lockdown orders have effectively saved millions of lives.

A study published in the journal Nature by researchers at Imperial College London in June found that some 3.1 million deaths had been averted due to lockdowns across Europe early on in the pandemic. "This data suggests that without any interventions, such as lockdown and school closures, there could have been many more deaths from COVID-19. The rate of transmission has declined from high levels to ones under control in all European countries we study," Dr. Samir Bhatt, an author of the study from Imperial College London said in June, according to the university. "Careful consideration should now be given to the continued measures that are needed to keep SARS-CoV-2 transmission under control," he added.

A second study published alongside that report in Nature, and led by scientists in the United States, found that 530 million coronavirus infections had been avoided due to early lockdowns in China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France and the United States, according to the news outlet.
So this is simply the ultra Right, as usual, trolling the web to find a single "peer reviewed" report that happens to align with their beliefs. This is not science.

You complaint has nothing to do with where the scientific method was used.

    The study was peer reviewed.

That your agenda isn't advanced is not relevant.

Do you know what IS proof?

    You're seeing it!

They've had us doing everything they could think of, they told everyone to wear masks, they shut down entire cities, forced businesses to close, they've made sure people didn't get too close to each other.......starting last March.

So, WHY hasn't it worked, it obviously didn't, if covid is still infecting people.

I don't know what better proof you can have, than seeing it for yourself.

If true conservatives cannot align themselves with the left to defeat the fascist terror threat of the Democrat Party, all that they claim to hold dear is lost. But as things stand, they can't tell the difference between liberals and the left, nor see that the Democrat Party is one controlled by dangerously deranged conservative psychopaths.

    Bogus.

Reuters contacted two experts, Dr. Elizabeth Stuart, Associate Dean for Education at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health ( here ) and Dr. Stuart Ray, infectious disease expert with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine ( here ) . Both confirmed that lockdowns do reduce transmission of the SARS-Cov-2 and highlighted that a more “targeted” or “proportional” approach of restrictions can mitigate the risk of infection, while balancing other concerns about the economy and mental health.

    Back to that, again?

For every "expert" that can be found, to say masks work, there's one that says, they don't.

There's no proof you're safer with a mask, than without one.

A Stanford peer-reviewed study trumps two Doctors providing an off-the-cuff opinion. But note they said targeted lockdowns.

Are you saying we've evolved natural protections over thousands of years???

    Heresy!!!
