Where Are You, Martin Luther King?

A half-century after his death, Martin Luther King Jr. is as revered as ever. But have we been following his example, or merely paying lip service to his ideas? Jason Riley, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, weighs in.

There have been few American heroes in the last 75 years. Someone whose actions were to create a better life for us all. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of those heroes. Unlike the black leadership of today who pushes others to the front of the line and blames others for their own failures Dr. King put his own life on the line every day and made America better for us all. I sincerely think that Dr. King would be appalled at what is being preached in his name today.

    poor source

While I am not a fan of Prager U, as it is a fake U to use a Trumpian analogy, I did listen. The trouble here is this man misses the reasons and there are many and they are complicated. But I will point out one that is dominant and so obvious today especially with white supremacy growing. Resentment and grievance, ok two words, yep the progress blacks made, instead of being the positives, created a backlash that brought us Trump and white supremacy in spades. For those who want to know lots below.

"I'm here because our republican values are number one, standing up for local white identity, our identity is under threat, number two, the free market, and number three, killing Jews." Sean Patrick Nielsen, Charlottesville [Video on Washpo]

'White Supremacist Ideas Have Historical Roots In U.S. Christianity'

"Why didn't white Christians show up?" he recalled wondering. To his dismay, Cross learned that many of the people in the white mob were regular churchgoers. In the years that followed, he made it part of his ministry to educate his fellow Christians about the attack and prompt them to reflect on its meaning."

"Overall, we rate PragerU Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, promotion of propaganda, the use of poor sources who have failed fact checks, and the publication of misleading information regarding immigration and climate change."
