The reason I am having such a problem is that I do not have more than an inch of snow every 5 years where I am that lasts about 3 hours.

Let me think what kid of suggestion I could come up with.

Replace the TORO with a U-Haul.

LOL. Plans are in place for doing that in a couple of years, although today I told myself it would be next year!

However it worked pretty well except for twice once the wife flooded it ( typically in big storms she runs it and I shovel) In her defence it flooded easily and didn't even smell. ( Weird feature for a machine that is designed to not get started for months then suddenly fire up in below zero weather)

Then there was today. I don't use the damn thing unless I have to move a lot of snow. It wouldn't start , it sounds dry, you can't tell from the primer button whether you are moving gas or not. Probably needed more gas but shoveling seemed easier that dealing with flooding it out.

Any tips would be great which is why I included the brand, size and age. But I also thought maybe others had ***&&%##$ snow blower stories?
We bought a Toro 4 cycle snow thrower 3 years ago. It has electric start but I've never had to use it. Starts on the first pull every time. I do pull it out during the summer once or twice and start it and let it run for a few minutes.
Sold my John Deere "beast" this summer. 28 inch with heated hand grips, electric start, 6 forward speeds, 2 reverse. That had a Briggs and Stratton 4 cycle motor. It had sat for 3 years in my garage (we never got enough snow to justify using it). Before the buyer came over I pulled it out and it started right up.
I'd suggest going with a 4 cycle Toro.

I've only experienced that easy one pull start after years thing with old outboards, not so much the newer one.s Thanks.
