Fox Business suddenly cancels 'Lou Dobbs Tonight,' its highest-rated show

Well, I guess it's over for Lou. Fox really knows how to stick it to their loyal news hosts. I'm sure there are more to come. Jeannine Pirro and Maria Bartiromo as well. Fox lost their prized possession and now they are starting to can people. Go figure.

Lou Dobbs, the longtime host of the signature right-wing talk show on the Fox Business Network, was canned by the network on Friday night. "Lou Dobbs Tonight" is off the air, effective immediately, a Fox spokesperson confirmed. An interim show will take Dobbs' place at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern starting Monday. It was a head-scratching change by Fox Business, since Dobbs was its highest-rated host, albeit on a relatively low-rated network. He often doubled his lead-in's ratings, which is a rare feat in television.

Dobbs, a veteran financial news anchor, became known at Fox Business for his sycophantic pro-Trump programs. He was one of the former president's biggest boosters on television, and Trump regularly thanked him in return. In one of Trump's first statements since leaving the White House, he effusively praised his friend, saying Dobbs "is and was great. Nobody loves America more than Lou. He had a large and loyal following that will be watching closely for his next move, and that following includes me."The pro-Trump propaganda bent juiced Dobbs' ratings. But his far-right programming choices repeatedly caused consternation within the company, a source close to the matter said, and his program was a loss leader for Fox because many advertisers didn't want to be associated with his content.

Sources at Fox indicated that the Smartmatic lawsuit was just one factor in the decision to cancel Dobbs. His weak performance with advertisers was also a significant factor, one of the sources said.
But Fox is clearly under enormous legal pressure from Smartmatic and another voter systems firm, Dominion, which has threatened to sue the network, but has not done so to date.

So being a Trump supporter automatically makes someone a fan of Fox? You're a very lazy thinker.

FOX folded to Smartmatic. Nothing mysterious.

Many Trump supporters are not FOX viewers. And, vice-versa.

    Think better.

Is that what you personally support @Leanne778 I mean after the things the media said about Trump the uninvestigated voting machine producers sue? Either media can shape opinion and sell opinions as fact or even news or they can't.. Even Bidin fans must be upset at some level by this double standard?

Democrat challenges accuracy of voting machine count in uncalled House race.....

A Democratic candidate caught in the final uncalled House race in New York appears to be adopting a Trumpian strategy.

The legal team for Democratic Rep. Anthony Brindisi, who trails former Rep. Claudia Tenney, a Republican, by 122 votes in the 22nd Congressional District, argued in a court filing on Monday that voting machines are to blame for errors affecting hundreds of ballots.

“In this case, there is reason to believe that voting tabulation machines misread hundreds if not thousands of valid votes as undervotes, and that these tabulation machine errors disproportionately affected Brindisi,” Brindisi's lawyers wrote, according to the Associated Press.

Brindisi’s campaign asked New York Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte for an audit that may end up in a recount of all 325,000 ballots cast, but the judge noted last week that the court cannot call for a new election or recount. Tenney declared herself the victor this week. "Ballots have been scrutinized and we are confident all legal votes have been counted," her campaign said in a statement......snip~
