Never cared and still don't care other than the attempt to paint conservatives and Trump supporters with yet another broad brush.

If Qanon is discredited then how about people get over it?

The more Hype the more curiosity and attention it will get, just like left idiot sites on the internet.

They are keeping it alive as part of their campaign to insist that Trump supporters be deprogrammed.

Polling is suggesting 10-17% believing in QAnon (Americans, not party-specific). Think tanks have reported 15% that I have seen; CNN claimed it was only 10% a few days ago based on their polls and an NPR/IPSOS poll found 17% believed the core tenets (liberal child molesters who worship Satan). I'm not sure what they were smoking at NPR, (well, I know) but the research done by the American Enterprise Institute put it at 15%, 30% among Republicans, with 42% of Americans condemning QAnon and 41% "uncertain."

It is a fringe group, but it's not actually that small. Part of the issue is also that the group has incorporated other conspiracy theories into their core theories that appeal to other fringe groups, like white supremacists, 9/11 "truthers", birthers, and so on - and some of those groups have more legitimate issues/concerns that are much lower on the crazy scale. Threw a wide net, caught a lot of idiots and some people who maybe didn't know better. Who knows (certainly not "Q" - watching their meltdown post-election has been excellent). I do not know any reasonable Republicans who would buy into this nonsense. It really is quite "Qult"-like.

Also, apparently March 4th is the new "Storm" date since all their other predictions were outrageously and hilariously inaccurate.

    Great point.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

There’s a big push right now among corporate media, Democrats, and NeverTrumpers to establish a narrative that the Republican Party is being torn apart in a bitter civil war between its establishment wing and its supposed QAnon wing. It’s about as true as your garden-variety QAnon conspiracy theory, but it’s politically useful, which is why you’re seeing it crop up all over the media right now.

According to this narrative, dangerous right-wing conspiracy theorists and QAnon acolytes make up a sizable portion of the GOP electorate and enjoy broad acceptance among many Republican elected officials and right-of-center media outlets.

Tune into NPR or CNN, browse the pages of The New York Times or The Washington Post, and you’ll hear all of this discussed in detail, ad nauseum. But it’s pure fantasy, almost a kind of conspiracy theory of its own, akin to the years-long conspiracy theories about Trump’s collusion with Russia in the 2016 election, which Democrats and the press still cling to despite zero evidence after years of investigations.

Indeed, the notoriety QAnon now enjoys has more to do with the media building it up than Republicans flocking to its banner. According to Pew Research, last spring during the Democratic primaries, more Democrats had heard about QAnon conspiracy theories than Republicans had (28 to 18 percent, respectively) and by the fall, that disparity had grown, with 55 percent of Democrats saying they’d heard of QAnon compared to less than 40 percent of Republicans. Notably, those most likely to say they had heard about it also reported that they got their news mainly from The New York Times, MSNBC, and NPR.

As Politico reported this week, Democratic TV ads launched this week spotlight supporters of QAnon: “It is the first step in a larger plan, orchestrated by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s new chair, Sean Patrick Maloney of New York, to exploit the growing friction between Trump hard-liners and establishment Republicans in the GOP base, which Maloney sees as a major weak point for the party.”

The GOP Civil War Is Between Populists and the Establishment

But that fight is a lopsided one, with a handful of elected neo-conservatives like Rep. Liz Cheney and NeverTrump pundits on one side, and the vast majority of the GOP electorate on the other. A recent Morning Consult/Politico poll, taken weeks after the Jan. 6 riot, found 81 percent of Republican voters still view Trump favorably, with a majority saying they have strongly held positive views of Trump and want him to run again in 2024.

The long-term question at the heart of the actual conflict in the Republican Party isn’t about QAnon or even about Trump. It’s about whether a post-Trump GOP will go back to being docile in the face of Democratic Party dominance, indifferent about the border and trade, all too eager to embroil American in foreign wars, and quiescent in the culture wars.

A GOP that refused to go back to those days and took up the banner of conservative populism would be a real threat to Democratic control in Washington and the cultural ascendancy of the left. No wonder Democrats and the media would rather talk about QAnon.
The reason Democrats and the media want to build up QAnon in the minds of Americans is fairly obvious: to tar all Republicans as crazy conspiracy theorists. That’s an explicit strategy among Democratic leadership in the House right now.....snip~

The best part about all of this are those like Midcan that fall for the OkieDoke. Still one does have to laugh at their concept of reason and rationality. Especially not even knowing what the Deviates play is with Q Anon.
There is no Qanon wing. If you surveyed "who believes in "Q" on this forum then you may get 1 or 2 positive responses.

Had no idea what that even meant until I saw the term here.
