Experts warn that food prices will skyrocket if Xiden closes pipe line

Experts Warn Food Prices will Skyrocket if Biden Closes Dakota Access Pipeline - Daily Patriot Report

this is gonna affect lefties too.

As more than 200 celebrities and activists have called on Biden to close the pipeline, we can only pray he does not listen. Otherwise food prices can be expected to skyrocket.

I don’t know about you, but I already pay a pretty penny to get groceries for my family every week. To double that would be insane.

    Tatum Report:

Agricultural economist Elaine Kub said that there are ripple effects to consider, because if oil from the Bakken Shale in North Dakota ends up being transported by rail instead of by the pipeline, farmers selling their products will suffer.

“If DAPL is shut down and a portion of the crude oil currently transported on the pipeline is shifted to the limited available rail car capacity, I estimate that the agricultural industry would lose more than $1 billion in annual farm revenue across the Corn Belt (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas), while higher transportation costs would simultaneously drive up food costs for consumers,” Kub argued in court last spring.

    Via Washington Examiner:

On his first day in office, President Biden canceled permits for the Keystone XL pipeline. Environmentalists and anti-fossil fuel activists should not have applauded his move.

After all, Canada will not stop extracting oil from the tar sands of northern Alberta. Instead, it will simply export oil over existing pipelines or to the Pacific Ocean, where the damage from a potential spill would be harder to address.

Biden’s cancellation cost jobs and pushes Canada toward greater economic cooperation with China. It also shakes confidence in U.S. business. Who would invest in the country if any future administration can simply renege on deals with the stroke of a pen?

Especially, that is, when the investments involved here reach into the billions of dollars?

Prices have been going up at a faster rate then last year. In the span of 8 weeks, gas has gone up 30-40 cents per gallon. Food has been escalating since late summer 2020.

REALLY saw it yesterday. What the manufacturer did originally was to cut the size for the same price. I don't think that went over well.

now i'm seeing definite increases in prices. Sugar up over 50 cents for a 4, that's FOUR pound bag. Bare shelves...when have americans seen THAT!!

    Demise? It’s Complicated

Moving crude by rail is costly, inefficient, and dangerous compared to oil pipelines. It's also incredibly lucrative.
