The sun goes through cycles of activity and it's believed we're in a "grand solar minimum" where the sun is a bit cooler and that affects Earth's climate. This has happened in the past and tends to be a period like a little ice age. In 1816 they had the "year without a summer". I'm not an expert on it but people in the scientific community have been talking about this coming for a few years now.
    Make Orwell fiction again.

They’re getting global warming right now. That's why the weather is so extreme.

It is a long term condition which we have only been able to study in detail for a century or so. Basically we don't know much.
But we do know that the polar bears are thriving, plants love increased CO2 in the air and crop yeilds go up and that in general a warmer world should be a wetter world. Even if some crop land is rendered not commercially viable more than is lost will become viable via warming.
That is not to say that CC does not present real issues, although I personally believe the pause is still on. But we need to discuss those issues from a base of facts not designed hysteria.

I believe we are still in the pause. Can you tell me some of the horrible ramifications of CC and warming?

Sometimes science is not a black and white proposition. There is a growing consensus that the number and strength of western hemisphere hurricanes can be attributed to the warming of the oceans which is tied to climate change. But lets not any facts or science get in the way of your opinions as that might cause you some discomfort.

I don't think it is "settled science" that extreme weather events are increasing. I do think there are a few billion more of us in the way of these events than there used to be although a warmer oceon could lead to more and stronger hurricanes it has not been proven that it has done so.
