    The obama treatment for stage 4 cancer in the elderly: Give them an aspirin and send them home.

    I get it. everyone wants to live as long as possible. Bob is 97, he's more than beaten the odds. These treatments are not going to be pleasant and really...how much time are they going to get for him? days? hours?

    Probably more a formality than anything else. He may not be resigned to go yet, and it can give him time to adjust to the idea.

    Probably one of very few WWII Vets still alive!

    I met Dole in 96 when he was running for President. Got to shake his hand, and he seemed to appreciate that I held out my left because I knew of his war injury.
