..No ...(lol)....they're using freight trucks , trains , airfreight and ships loaded with containers ......and as the new Silk Road takes shape , they will start transporting stuff to and from everywhere , to everywhere else . There's no rule that says everyone must participate , so you better get cracking and start making stuff again , or you won't have much to spend yer money on .

There should not only be a return to rickshaws , but a global boom in rickshaws - particularly around crowded inner city areas , to replace taxis spewing out filthy exhaust smoke that make people ill.

Africa owes far more to the IMF than they owe to China......but at least with China , they get badly needed infrastructure , to help them get out of debt .
Hopefully it works out that way, but it seems China is taking ownership when African nations fall behind on their debts. Perhaps that was the goal all along.

We have our own rare earth minerals. Trump got rid of some of the regulations that blocked us from mining them. Projects have started. Let's see if Joe* shuts them down.

So the old Silk road revitalization crap you are throwing around is meaning drivel based on your last statement in the last post. The is no historic or geographic reasoning around China's new colonialism attempts.

That's incorrect , according to your link . They have leases in Djabooti and Myanma (lol) , which they pay for . They also have a lease on a wharf terminal in Australia , which they also pay for......it's normally referred to as "foreign investment" and China also welcomes it into China (which many countries are doing ). Now tell me how Africa plans to pay their IMF debt ( considering that IMF debts are purposely designed to NEVER be payed back) I think we can all see quite clearly where the real debt traps are coming from .

The Silk Road was simply a trade route.

Belt and Road is a trade route with infrastructure projects. Many claim these create debt traps.

There is actually.....but Americans are banned from publicly acknowledging such things .....(lol). The Silk Road joins East with West , and North with South .
