I don't know. Seems to violate the rule of that's not right.

I think that the liability comes out of the estate, but if there's no estate, I don't think that you can will a debt to someone else.

Yes, it is. So if you own one and you find yourself on a downward slide health-wise, be sure to will it to the person you dislike most in the world.

Ah, but it's not a debt - it's "ownership of a property". The corporations that run this scam have greased all the right palms in government, in terms of laws and regulations, to ensure that they will get their pound of flesh from someone until the Second Coming.

Do heirs legally have to accept everything willed to them?

No, heirs can file a disclaimer of interest with the probate court.

Pastor Homer Lindsey Jr. the late pastor of First Baptist, Jacksonville FL. said the only thing you should buy on credit is a house because you just can't save fast enough to get a house. I agree except that I believe buying a new car on credit is more cost effective than buying a well used car with all of its mechanical issues that are sure to crop up. With the new car you will at least have several years of free maintenance.

I also vividly recall a high school teacher telling the class that if you cannot live on your current income you cannot live on any income because that means you don't know how to budget your money. You should always strive to live slightly below your actual income. She received a lot of push back on that but she was correct. How many people do we know that are doing well on relatively small incomes while we see the guy down the street with a Mercedes Benz, Lawn service, $40,000.00 fishing boat, maxed out credit cards and so far in debt he is eating raman noodles every night.
I even paid cash for my current house. It feels great to get ahead and be able to share it.

Good. I always thought timeshares were scammy. The first indicator is that they robo call people with fake vacation offers as long as you attend one of their "seminars". Pfft. I don't buy anything that needs such aggressive sales methods. If it was really good, people would be banging on their door, not the other way around. Also, as far as I'm concerned, they aren't selling "property" they are selling time slots.

Wait a minute! That free gas grill will only cost you $10 grand a year for the rest of your life. But you get use of the place for 4% of the year. LOL

Heck, I don't even like the idea of condos because you don't really own anything but the use of the apartment and you have to pay maintenance fees that by themselves can be ridiculously expensive, particularly in an older building and on top of that they can suddenly decide to change all the windows and you have to pay your prorated share, whether you want new windows or not. No thanks. I want a patch of dirt with my dwelling and no condo board who decides what I can and can't do with my property.
