Back in reality, this is consequences culture. Bad people are suffering the consequences for doing bad things. That's a _good_ thing.

You wouldn't shout if you weren't being hurt. That's incentive for us to keep doing what we're doing. The only way we'd stop if you can explain how what we're doing is immoral. Why is it bad for someone to refuse to do business with those they see as evil? After all, you just said one should not tolerate intolerance. Why shouldn't liberals use that standard?

What's truly evil is the fact that you see people and businesses who don't agree with your minority identity politics as being evil. Your hate is palpable, unwarranted and irrational.

Sadly, many (#notall) Progressives are indeed evil -- they destroy lives and careers of those who disagree with their ideology.

Sadly, in thousands of very Conservative counties, there are hundreds of thousands of Conservative businesses providing work and money to them. Hopefully, sooner rather then later there will be a Conservative movement to stop funding and supporting these bullies. I have a very small audience. Hopefully someone on Newsmax will start a movement to stop employing them.

My point is that in an ideal Society, firing people for their political opinion would be rare. Sadly, since Liberals adopted this tactics, Conservatives, Independents, and Classical Liberals have almost no choice.

I think this is true, it is where society will end up. Critical Theory up until recently was ridiculously deconstructive, to the point of self-deconstruction of even its Theory. That led recently to applied Critical Theory that is reconstructive, the aim being to reconstruct society according the Critical Theory. It's a little hard to see, absurd as it seems to be, but when someone puts up the idea, what if everyone followed suit, what if everyone acted like that, well, it becomes once again self-destructive.

Unfortunately, your "nanoessay" contains pretty much the identical logical flaws, moral difficulties and self-serving misrepresentations of others' views as the shorter version that you posted elsewhere on the forum.

CC's rationale, if one can call it that, appears to be nothing more than "fire anyone who thinks differently than we do, in order to make a point about people who fire other people who think differently than they do".

Also, he - and frankly he's not alone in doing this - has a strong tendency to lump together a lot of very disparate things under the name "cancel culture". Like most people, I try to judge each case on its own merits. Sometimes an individual clearly deserved to be fired in view of the circumstances; often it isn't as clear cut as that; in other cases, the individual did or said nothing wrong and the firing was stupid. Stating categorically either that you favor "cancel culture" or that you oppose it is shallow thinking and short-sighted, in my opinion.

I think his point is to fight back against those who would censor us for our views. The left is more than willing to boycott Hyatt because of an alleged Nazi symbol but when we say boycott Target for allowing biological males to use the women's restrooms we are somehow to be silenced. Its a double standard that should be remedied.

CCCitizen, as I understand it has Asperger's by his own admission. Therefore sometimes his wording does not follow our logical paths but like it or not he does make sense.

Tone down the hypocrisy just a tad, will you? Your side has no guiding philosophy other than "liberals are evil!". Seething bug-eyed spittle-flecked hate is all any of you know, so you shouldn't project your way of life on to decent people.

Oh, you're also defending literal Nazis, people who say they want to exterminate Jews. Those are the people being boycotted. And that upsets you greatly. That says a lot about you. It says a lot about Trump cultists in general, how they're having meltdowns because raging antisemites are being attacked.
