The Cat in the Hat is redeeming himself with the left.

“In this new book, using reworked art from Dr. Seuss,” said a letter from Dr. Seuss’s estate, “the Cat in the Hat once again finds the two children home alone and bored. This time he diagnoses their malaise as gender dysphoria and proceeds to give the children puberty blockers.”

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Joe Biden has come to the defense of Pepe Le Pew after liberals wanted to cancel him, with the president saying he was "always my favorite character, a real stand-up guy.

While I have not read all of the Seuss books and it has been a long time since I have even looked at any, I do not recall any images or characters that I thought looked like or sounded like any actual person. I always thought they were all fantasy, after all the Who's live on a snow flake or a dust ball depending on which book you read.

I think a great many people need to thicken their skin.
People on the right defend others without research. I won't defend the author. I know in his early work during WWII he made fun of blacks and slavery, called all Germans white supremist, and made fun of Asians. In fact I picked up a few at the yard sale and against banning books, but not going to run and defend this person.

You keep talking about his EARLY work, but what about his more recent work? Do you have a problem with that? Tell me, when you were young did you have a different opinion on something that you have a totally different opinion about, now that you're older and have more life experience? Because if you say no, I'd have to think you're a liar. There have been many things I've changed my opinions on after more education and life experiences. This crap of condemning someone over something they said years or even decades ago, when/if there's no evidence that's still the case is so old, and democratic.
