Congressional Republicans and conservatives are merely confirming what we already knew, they have "NO SHAME" when it comes to trying to hold Democrats to a higher moral and ethical standard that they have be willing to apply to themselves for the last 4 years!

Perhaps VP Harris should just start recycling the very same excuses congressional Republicans from their GOP "playbook" - starting with that she's been far too busy doing the people's business to remain informed concerning the New York Governor's personal problems!

    Seriously ??

These are the kinds of responses one would expect when the opposition is either unable/unwilling to debate the issues based on the facts!

The "inconvenient truth" remains that it has been documented chapter and verse that congressional Republicans have spent the last 4 years displaying either "a deafening silence" or "willfully ignorant" when responding to President Trump's "unpresidential" words and actions!

    BUT

with the 2020 Election that has all changed and once again our resident conservatives are now demanding that Democrats be held to a higher standard!

*These are the kinds of responses one would expect when the opposition is either unable/unwilling to debate the issues based on the facts!*

You're not debating or even discussing the issue at hand, you're playing whataboutism, you know that which you accuse others of.

Now, run away from the facts like you do so often and while you're running take the time to stop and look in the mirror hypocrite.

I remain in good company - despite repeated attempts by Republican Senators to equate the January 6th storming of the Capitol with the George Floyd Protests during yesterday's committee hearing, FBI Director Chris Wray who is himself a Trump appointment, went out of his way to distinguish between the two!

The George Floyd Protests were largely peaceful demonstrations of average American citizens exercising their constitutional rights, which a criminal element attempted to exploit as a diversion to loot and burn!

The insurrection at the Capitol was the "last hurrah" by Trump supporters to prevent the certification of the 2020 Election vote - Director Wray identified the growing "white-supremacy" movement, with its close ties to Trump, as the greatest domestic terrorist threat in America!

Apparently conservatives and congressional Republicans have made the "self-serving" decision to equate their right to protest which is guaranteed under the Constitution with the actions of a rampaging mob -

    - chanting "Hang Mike Pence" and death threats directed at the Speaker

    - injuring 140+ officers from Capitol and Metro Police

    - breaking into the Speakers office

    - removing laptops and other confidential materials

    - disrupting a joint session of Congress

    - forcing the evacuation of the House, Senate and the removal of the Vice President by the Secret Service to an undisclosed, secure location

    - occupying the Senate Chambers

    - attempting to break into the House Chambers resulting in the death of one "insurrectionist"

    - intruders dressed in paramilitary gear, coordinating their efforts by radio, equipped with tasers, "bear" spray, shields, plastic wrist restrains used for taking hostages, flag polls used as weapons, apparently some had a detailed knowledge of the layout of the building

    - congressional staffers and other "civilian" Capitol employees forced lock and barricade office doors, remaining in silence huddled under tables for hours as marauding gangs roamed the hallways

    - the Capitol was vandalized with urine and feces spread throughout the building as the intruders parting sign of respect, apparently unaware that these also contain samples of DNA that can confirm the individuals presence

Now you're attempting to move the goalposts jgarden477. Do you even know what the thread is ?? Do you even care ??

Absolutely nothing you've posted in this thread has anything to do with "#Me Too Kamala Remains Silent on Coumo". You've posted whataboutism, diversion, distraction and attempted to move the goalposts. In short you're trolling, do better.

    ************************************************** ******

Its a well documented fact that Trump supporters have a long history of attempting to intimidate anyone and everyone who has the audacity to express a different opinion - should I interpret this as "a threat?"

Given that the express purpose of "The Political Forum" is to provide a venue for different opinions, the contention that the rules provide for the creation of threads by conservatives in this Forum that are exempt from criticism appears to a contradiction of terms!

Apparently the Forum's conservatives feel free to declare "open season" on VP Harris, then attempt to limit the parameters of discussion to exclude criticism and when all else fails, resort to issuing threats about violating rules while attempting to safely position themselves behind the "skirts" of the Moderators!
