    Trying to print something

Pretty much captures what it's like printing to an inkjet print. If the ink's not dry, it's out of paper or just disconnected.

They're cheap enough, but the ink is expensive.

I finally said to hell with it and bought and bought a LaserJet. Around $200. But it always prints, first time, no mess, no fuss. Should get 1200 pages out of the initial toner cartridge.

Never had that experience with an inkjet printer, I have the same brand in the video, works fine. If I don't use it for a while, I may have to run the head cleaning process a couple times, then good to go.

    You're lucky.

Never had any trouble with my previous inkjet printer either. It was a Canon that my bank gave to me when I opened a business checking account, and lasted about 7 or 8 years, then went kaput. I've had my little Epson Small in One for about the same amount of time, and it works great. I'm guessing all the trouble people have with printers is likely operator error.

I've had mine, an HP, that long, just nothing but trouble.

I think I see the problem.....HP, lol. I had an HP digital camera years ago that came with a software disc for the PC, for photo editing etc. That program attacked my computer like a malicious virus, and I had to treat it like a virus to remove it from my computer. I swore I would never use an HP product again. But, couple years ago, silly me, bought what appeared to be a really nice pavilion desktop tower on sale for about 800 bucks, at Best Buy. Fast processor, 16 gigs of RAM, a terabyte hard drive, it was a really fast computer. And worked really well for about a year, then started having constant blue screens of death, for various reasons. Recent scans on the computer show the memory hardware to be damaged. I was going to try and repair it, but I think I am going to throw it on the trash heap and consider it a lesson learned.

I think so. I remember long long ago I had an Epson printer--before inkjet--and it was fine. HP inkjet, no. Worst it, add paper, change ink cartridge, even clean it, damn thing wanted to print out a test page for you to scan and it to realign. SO each minor problem evolved into fighting that.

But the new HP LaserJet is well-behaved, just sits there waiting, runs on WiFi so I can print from any device.

When my Epson goes, I'll probably get a laser printer. BUT NOT AN HP, lol.

It is like you say user error or frustration. If it doesn't work I get irritated and reason goes out the door.

I've had my HPP1606dn (just a black & white laserjet.) for about 12 years or so. One round of CPR when a chip committed seppuku while printing a 267 page report.

I'm whispering so it doesn't hear me.
