I used to be a volunteer at Operation Wild Life (O.W.L.). We rehabbed injured and orphaned wildlife, and also did education exhibits. It was awesome...

That's what I've wondered many times. He was neutered and chipped... But, I'm glad he's mine, he's a big lovable sweetheart.

Good to microchip your animals ..that way if stole or lost ..they'll know who the owner is

Homeless, no doubt, but definitely not feral. She seemed to be very well socialized.

Shortly after we moved to Arizona my wife's very old tortoiseshell kitty disappeared and we didn't see her for a few days. Temperatures were over 110 degrees, and the wife had resigned herself to the loss of the cat she'd rescued as a kitten in Bermuda 16 years before. I'd been working all night and wanted to go to sleep, but the thought that Oliver might be out there somewhere needing help wouldn't let me - so I went out once again, walking around the neighborhood, calling her name and doing the kitty-kitty-kitty thing. A few houses down, on the next block, I heard a very faint meow. (Fortunately acute hearing is my super-power.) There she was, on the flat roof of a house for sale. I walked back to our house, brought back a ladder and effected the rescue. Once inside, she drank water for several minutes and went immediately to sleep. How she lasted that long in the blazing sun with no water or shelter I'll never know.

I have one that got dumped. She was under the neighbors car. Back hips are messed up. She was chipped when we brought her in, so they contacted the owners. The owners told the vet that they lost her down here at the beach. When asked how they would like to get her back they paused and responded by saying that they did not look for her. Meaning they dumped her.

Their loss.
