I have a 177 caliber break barrel pellet rifle. With the right pellets, it will shoot at 1200 FPS. You could seriously injure, or even kill someone.

Yea, I wondered about that. I got away from him before thinking to call 911.

If he stripped naked he had no place to keep the pellets and the break barrel is pretty easy to identify.
That and no ammo would leave him not being a threat.
Shouldn't have been to big of a deal to apprehend him.

Any idea how it turned out?

Not seeing anyhting in local news yet--unless he was the guy killed crossig the street.

Have you tried any of the lead free pellets?
So far I haven't found any that can beat the accuracy and consistency of lead pellets.

It probably wouldn't be too dangerous through your vehicle glass or body panels, but if you had your window down, he could've gotten lucky. Of course reloading is a slow process with these pellet rifles.

You were right. One person shot on Potranco Road; suspect in custody

One person was injured and another was arrested in a shooting Wednesday afternoon involving a pellet gun on the far west side. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene in the 11000 block of Potranco Road near a Taco Bell, just outside Loop 1604.

"Deputies were dispatched for a male who appeared to have been waving a rifle and jumping in and out of bushes near the intersection of Potranco Road and Impresario Road," Johnny Garcia, BCSO's public information officer, said. "At one point the individual shot the rifle which was later determined to be a pellet gun, causing damage to a vehicle. The individual also shot the pellet gun at an innocent individual who sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries."

According to BCSO, deputies found the individual and attempted to take him into custody, but there was a short struggle.

Garcia said deputies used a taser to help take the individual into custody.

The victim was being treated at the scene by medical personnel. Meanwhile, charges are pending against the alleged shooter....

As I was leaving Walmart in my pickup out on the street was this agitated nutcase. Really agitated, high on crack or something. Shirtless. Walking back and forth over maybe 20 yards. Carrying and shooting a rifle at cars. Got past and reached for the cellphone to call 911, when I noticed he cracked the rifle and pumped, so likely just a Break Barrel Air Rifle like the Crosman 30021 Break Barrel Air Rifle (looking that up now). Still, I was going to dial 911 when a Bexar County Sheriff's car came up with lights a-flashing. Lost sight as I turn a corner and saw another cop car coming. My thought being the idiot, the deputies might not see it's an air rifle when he points at them and they shoot him down. Never did call 911. A little later, on a local neighborhood forum, there were posts warning people to stay away, one reporting the dude had stripped completely naked.

Did you happen to notice that the guy had a toy?
