The famous words of Democrats are "That will never happen". It is a guarantee that it will.

Joe Wilson was right. Obama lied. Illegals are getting government paid Obamacare.

They don't have to address them. Just hold out a bottle of water. and see who grabs it.

But I don't think addressing the line changes votes. Nor should anyone else. That is the purported basis for making these changes.
As far as runoffs, they generally have smaller crowds, have less preparation time.
    November Election
Votes in Perdue/Ossoff election: 4.8 million

    Votes in Warnock/Loefler 4 million

    Runoff Election
Votes in Perdue/Ossoff election: 4.49 million

    Votes in Warnock/Loefler 4.49 million

As you can see The turn out was pretty close in the Georgia runoff. and in the Warnock election, MORE people voted in the runoff. So why would any one look at this and say "we need less time to vote in runoffs"

Nothing you say, stops these water carriers from interfering. The New Black Panthers or KKK could campaign for the Democrat candidates in line.
Nothing I say? lol. Are you still trying to convince me that people in line can be coerced into changing their votes?

You know that's not true. No one believes that.

Handing people water is not intimidating. It is not persuasion.

Now, I will admit that there is a political motive for giving out water. Democrats believe it will help elect democrats. Not because it persuades people to change their votes. But because it gives people the ability to remain in line and see their votes through. Both dems and republicans. But democrats knew there were more dems in those lines. And so did Republicans. Thats why they dont mind if the lines dissolve.

    It is not.
I will add that the law does not focus on forbidding speaking to people in line.

It forbids giving them ANYTHING, food, water, chair, parasol, money, ANYTHIING.

What would you say if the bottles said to vote for Trump? As someone else mentioned, what would you do if they were

filled with alcohol. Tequila for Trump. Worse case, what if they mix in something to make them ill.
Trump Rallies prior to October 1st 2020 , conducted without the benefit of masks and social distancing, infected an estimated 30,000 Americans and the responsible for deaths of another 700 according to a Stanford study - but providing water for citizens in Georgia's notoriously long voting lines is considered by conservatives to be a health hazard!

This water ban is so divorced from reality, I can see 1000's of defiant protesters in the next election showing contempt for this law by resorting to civil disobedience by deliberately handing out water

As a "badge of honor," they'll demand to be arrested, fill Georgia's jails and flood the court system with violations for providing free water - holding the Governor and state Republicans up to national scorn and ridicule!

    1) Georgia Governor from a former "slave" and "Jim Crow" state,

    2) signing voter-suppression legislation,

    3) surrounded by 6 older "white" conservative politicians

    4) with a picture of a plantation mansion of former slave-owners in the the background

    5) what could possibly be wrong with the message being sent
