It's now illegal in Georgia to give food and water to voters in line

The new Georgia Election laws are appalling! Who the F do these republicans think they are? And to boot you can't give food or water?? Are they insane? This is bad. Very bad. Trump F'd up their minds man. Trump screwed around with their logical thinking process and has turned them into Trump zombies...all of them who are taking this approach. Don't think they aren't going to get a fight. They have already filed a lawsuit.

Georgia's new sweeping elections law has a number of controversial provisions that will restrict access to voting. But one in particular has some people shaking their heads. Under the bill, signed into law Thursday night by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, it's now illegal to hand out food or water to people standing in line to vote.
"No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to an elector," the new law states.
One influential Black pastor said he thinks the new law is unreasonable and that his church will use it to fire up voters. "We will make a movement out of that," said the Rev. Tim McDonald, senior pastor of First Iconium Baptist Church in Atlanta. "You know something is wrong when you can't give grandma a bottle of water and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Congratulations in the first few lines you only mentioned Trump 3 times and F'd twice. Things are improving.

Yes. Outside people are not supposed to address people in line. It is to avoid campaigning.
Georgia says their new plan was to address the problem so that people would not spend a long time in line.

What would you say if the bottles said to vote for Trump? As someone else mentioned, what would you do if they were filled with alcohol. Tequila for Trump. Worse case, what if they mix in something to make them ill.

Calm down and maybe worry about getting blacks ID, as the dems keep saying they are incapable of obtaining one.

Don't do it online because Biden says blacks are unable to get online.

    Read the bill, @Leanne778.

    You're wrong.

    Nope...

McDonald told CNN he is already planning to test the law with some civil disobedience. He said that at a future election his church will dare the police to arrest someone giving water to an elderly person waiting to vote.

Georgia's bill would make it a crime to give free food or water to voters standing in line for hours and hours. But we know who these politicians force to stand in line all day long," Shaub said earlier this month on Twitter. "I've never once stood in line for even five minutes where I get to vote. This racism is thorough."

The law shortens the early voting period for runoffs to 1 week. Does that sound like they are serious about shortening the lines?

If they were serious about addressing long lines, they would have put something in the bill expanding polling stations and lengthening the early voting period.
What would you say if the bottles said to vote for Trump?
I would laugh. hard. And I would say be my guest. Such things cannot change the vote of a person who knew they would be spending all day in line to vote. Anyone entering a day-long line already knew their voting intentions when they joined the line. No way they are changing it.

As someone else mentioned, what would you do if they were filled with alcohol. Tequila for Trump. Worse case, what if they mix in something to make them ill.
They can put whatever they want on the bottle. It won't change a thing. No one would be crazy enough to spike the bottle with something and expect to get away with it. Cameras are everywhere. Just ask the capitol rioters. Also, use common sense and don't drink from an opened bottle.

“Just say the election was corrupt and leave the
rest to me and the Republican congressmen”
    --Donald Trump

Speaking to the Justice Department on Dec. 27, 2020. Conversation memorialized in then-acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue’s contemporaneous notes.

Cons are desperate. Just trying to get people to not vote is their only hope at this point.
