I was going to the store yesterday anyway, and the wife asked me to pick some up, just in case. There was still plenty on the shelves, but you could tell from the gaps that people had been buying more than usual and that the store wasn't able to keep up. I was going to buy a big multi-pack of Charmin, but the packaging confused me. "6=36"? "24=123"? What are they talking about? Is this like the MERV numbers on an air conditioner filter? Screw it, I'll just buy a 24-pack of the store brand for half of what the Charmin people want for 18 rolls.

So far I have heard

1) COVID interrupting manufacturing in Brazil and they produce 1/3 of the pulp used.
2) Lack of shipping containers
3) Panic buying
4) The Suez Canal


I blame it on offshoring the supply chain. Damn globalists strike again.
