VA teachers to be fired for criticizing equity training if advisory comm gets its way

If the progressive left have taught us anything it’s that dissent is simply not tolerated, particularly when it comes to diversity. The problem with so-called equity training is that it’s often inspired by critical race theory — a toxic scheme that claims racism is inherent in American society.

Virginia teachers in Loudoun County Public Schools may very well face dismissal if they dare criticize equity training efforts, if Keaira Jennings, who leads the district’s Minority Student Achievement Advisory Committee, has her way. Even if they do so in private.

The district is located in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, with more than 80,000 students in 90 schools.

According to the district’s website, the MSAAC was formed to “promote the needs of minority students” and is “dedicated to building a school system that’s culturally and socially competent and positioned to provide fair and equitable learning experiences for all students.”

Jennings suggested in an email to the school district’s superintendent, school board chair, equity committee, and the NAACP, that they “cannot” tolerate teachers who are not onboard with their agenda, The Daily Wire reported.

“I was disheartened to see so much hate and vitriol centered around something that is meant to bring about inclusiveness and equity!” Jennings purportedly wrote. “While much of the push back came from parents and other community members, from what I understand there was also a great deal of negative feedback from LCPS teachers. That simply cannot and should not be tolerated by anyone employed by LCPS!”

I would refuse the training. Then I would sue them.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

I agree. But I would take the training and record everything and send it to Tucker Carlson.

If I were a school teacher there, I would not be the least bit bashful--in public: I would unapologetically let it be known that the school district could either (1) rescind this edict, and therefore keep my services; or (2) keep this edict, and therefore lose my services.

But they simply could not have it both ways.

With (apparently) no regard for others.

All of which are very subjective terms; and subject, therefore, to the interpretation of those in power.

The Bolsheviks in Russia, more than a century ago, or the Maoists in China, in the 1940s.

I simply detest the word "inclusiveness"! It is typically used by those on the left.

The real long term problem is that decent people will no longer become teachers or police for that matter. When you can't do the job without unreasonable PC restraints then why bother?
