So what?
He had his knee on Floyd's neck, was told there was no pulse and it was obvious Floyd stopped breathing (no matter the cause), and he did nothing but keep his knee on Floyd's neck for 3 more minutes and wouldn't allow anyone near Floyd.
There is no excuse for that behavior.
None.

@Peter1469In a previous incident, Mr. Floyd pointed a gun at a woman's unborn baby during an armed home invasion robbery. Were they compensated for this crime or forgotten about as he is celebrated?I suspect Minnesota has already changed its training with regards to subduing resistive suspects.
But my focus is this trial and the riots that will follow.

There is nothing in the training that says to keep a knee on the back of the neck until he stops breathing. It is not a expected event. Floyd told the cops he had not taken any drugs.
Sympathy may be with Floyd. No one wants to see people die. Truth may be that if the cops walked away after he refused to get in the car that he was going to die anyways after consuming all that fentanyl. I have no idea why he did it. It may have been just an ordinary OD or he may have taken it to hide it from the cops. I doubt that, because he was too high to drive away in the 10 minutes that he knew the cops were called after his crime. They told him they called the cops. He could have gone around the corner and thrown the drugs out the window, but the more realistic position was that he was just too high to do anything. He could not even drive or get out and walk away. He was beyond high.

Floyd was denied any help as he died. He had no pulse for 3 minutes and the knee stayed on his neck. He stopped breathing and the knee stayed on his neck. It is not the duty of a Police Officer to deny or prevent help being given to someone who has overdosed. Floyd was denied that help.
Chauvin clearly stopped anyone from assisting Floyd during his life threatening emergency.
There is nothing in his training that says he must deny someone medical assistance in an overdose emergency.
If that is what it was...
