Floyd was denied any help as he died. He had no pulse for 3 minutes and the knee stayed on his neck. He stopped breathing and the knee stayed on his neck. It is not the duty of a Police Officer to deny or prevent help being given to someone who has overdosed. Floyd was denied that help.
Chauvin clearly stopped anyone from assisting Floyd during his life threatening emergency.
There is nothing in his training that says he must deny someone medical assistance in an overdose emergency.
If that is what it was...

The Sargent on duty testified that he was obligated to report a use of force to his lieutenant and Internal Affairs by Chauvin given the use of the knee on the neck after Floyd was handcuffed and no longer resisting...

His resistance continued after he was handcuffed. If he let Floyd up then why would he think that he would not continue to resist?

Do you think that there was an expectation that the hold would kill Floyd, which has yet to be established? IMO opinion he OD and would have been dead from the fentanyl anyways.

I keep hearing about the continued use of the hold. When is it lethal? After 2 minutes? After 5 minutes? Is it ever lethal? There is no doubt that the appearance of the hold is objectionable at the first second.
What I don't see answer was what was Chauvin waiting for? A paddy wagon? Ambulance? There does not seem to be much communication with Floyd going on to see if he is willing to comply and get into the car. Could Floyd communicate at that point. Could a healthy person be held like that for a half hour?, hour? or all day? It was the back of the neck not the wind pipe.
