Biden.....No Amendment to the Constitution is Absolute.

Biden Introduces Executive Order On Guns: "No Amendment To The Constitution Is Absolute"

President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Thursday an executive order expanding certain gun control measures.

"Nothing, nothing I am about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment. They are phony arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake from what we are talking about but no amendment, no amendment is absolute," Biden said.

You can't yell 'fire' in a crowded movie theater and call it freedom of speech," Biden said. "From the beginning, you couldn't own any weapon you wanted to own."

"Enough, enough, enough," Biden said about gun violence......snip~

Biden Gun Speech Filled With Falsehoods.....

President Joe Biden made numerous false and misleading statements while unveiling a package of gun-control actions on Thursday.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the false and misleading statements made by Biden during his speech. At a press briefing following Biden's comments, White House press secretary Jen Psaki clarified his remarks on background checks at gun shows.
"No it's not his belief," Psaki told Real Clear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann when asked if Biden thought there was a special exemption in federal law for background checks. "He believes that background checks should be universal.".....snip~

The man cannot even talk and Democrats elected him. Why would they expect him to understand the Constitution and our laws. He failed as a lawyer a long time ago.

LOL Unlimited does not mean the same thing as Absolute.

Btw here is his full quote.

Antonin Scalia - Like most rights, the Second Amendment... Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited... It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.

Like most people who misuse and abuse that quote, you obviously have no clue about what Scalia meant by that.

Of course the Second is not unlimited. It has always been limited. What you and the other uneducated unwashed can't seem to grasp is the that those limits were set in 1791. Madison himself discussed those limits during the debates before ratification. He made the point that although the citizenry should be in possession of of arms that would give them parity with conventional infantry forces, there was no need for a civilian to own as he put it, "naval cannon".

He was not opposed to local militias owning cannons, but he (and the Framers) believed heavy artillery should not be in possession of private citizens. This of course, is why I just shake my head in disgust when people like you throw out that Scalia quote or say other stupid things like "Well, why don't we allow people to have nukes, then?"

So, Scalia was correct in saying the Second Amendment is not unlimited. Unlike you however, he knew the limits were set 230 years ago.

Cannons and artillery were owned by towns, villages, and cities. Not individuals. Right, the 2nd Amendment didn't create an unlimited right to own any weapon, but rather the light infantry kit of the day.
