    The Sermon on the Mount

An individual made an offhand statement defending open borders and the destruction of this nation's language and culture by asking if we had read the Sermon on the Mount. Having not read it in decades I found a copy online and read it. All of it.

I found nothing Jesus said that would lead a rational person to believe Jesus intended that our governments should encourage others to invade and despoil our nation.

Any government behaving thusly should be abolished.

Those of you who profess believing in a Christian god, please show me where I am wrong.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Did a Christian tell you that? Or a progressive masquerading as an "independent"? Was it the kind of buffoon who doesn't believe yet presumes to lecture Christians about what they should think? The sort of hypocritical ass who derides "religion in politics" until it's useful? Does he enjoy golf perhaps?

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Love thy Neighbor does not mean invite the whole world into your backyard.

Limited Government is legitimate and civilizing. We are not the worlds police not their care taker.

I have no way of knowing if the perp is a Christian. I do know he is a goofball.

Why do you guys say love thy neighbor? Does anyone talk that way today? Is someone from Mexico my neighbor? I live in Alabama.

He's not a Christian but he can't stop talking about Christianity. That hardly narrows it down on tPF but I know exactly who you're talking about.

It all stems from a confusion of the ethical and the political. Migration is a political problem not an ethical one. Our mystery doofus is not alone in his confusion. Pope Francis suffers from it too.
