Good grief Charle Brown! Here's some info . The main sterotypes of Asians is that they are hard working, smart, successful people with strong family structure. This sterotype exist because of strong elements of truth. Those things are also the reason that Asians actually out preform whites socio economically. We don't resent that, we respect it and the things that cause it.

And where is the main place we see these "racist fonts" used? On Chinese restaurant signs. Sooooo, are we to believe that Asians are racist......against...um...Asians? These idiots need to give this $#@! a rest already. Good grief Charlie Brown is right.

How do you figure? Archie was an ignorant bigot, his very name now having become synonymous with ignorant bigotry. ("He's a real Archie Bunker type.") He became as popular as he did not because what he said was true, but because it was so over-the-top silly and uninformed.

I beg to differ. He was popular because underneath his blatant bigotry was a kind and loving man to family and friends who were in their own ways just as bigotted.

Have you ever actually watched the show? Archie Bunker was an angry, ignorant man who belittled and insulted his wife, among others, and looked down on individuals of other races, while being amazed that his doing so offended anyone. The audience, then as now, laughs at him - not with him.

To be fair, they are just giving us what they think we want to see. People do not eat most of what you see on a Chinese menu.
I remember taking out a new foreman for our Mexican plant in the 80s for dinner. He stared at the menu for 15 minutes without any idea of what the food was. Finally he said. Chile Rellenos! I had those when I was a kid! What? No tacos? No burritos? No Quesadillas? Apparently not.

My first trip to Thailand had me seeing very little of what they call Thai food in the USA.
