I have said since last year: go for it. Defund, dismantle, sell the cars, the buildings, etc.

It's not just superficial. It's irrelevant. Hardly anyone is in prison for simple possession of marijuana.

    Training for what? Finding marijuana?

So, what about our system is unintentionally racist?
I believe black Americans experience America in a very different way than white Americans. There has been extensive academic research that proves this and I simply don't believe that research is political in nature. I don't think that is as a result of blacks being lazy or entitled. I believe the system has a lot to do with that. This is included in just about every aspect of life from banking to home ownership.

    Here is an interesting article.

With that being said I think society is completely overcorrecting for these issues in a severely negative way.

It also means you can claim Racism without evidence and how convenient is that? Maybe they were unconsciously racist!

That is the nonsense they will pull against this police officer in Minnesota, you can bet!

That does not make what they believe to be a true and valid experience.

I have been witness to false accusation of racism. And now that is very widespread because it is being taught that just about everything is racism as documented in this very Forum.

And when we make Laws based on False perception that is an injustice!

I agree that being accused of being a racist is a very easy way to end an argument and it's disgusting. I also believe that white men in general are being targeted while the vast majority of us don't have a racist bone in our body. But that is an obfuscation and doesn't speak to what is systematic racism. Our laws our centuries old...many of which were indeed based on race when they were conceived. We need to first recognize those laws and deal with them appropriately while not overcorrecting.

Meanwhile there will always be fraud in everything. I think we do a good job of pointing out false narratives when it comes to false accusations of racism. I'm not sure how widespread it is but I can tell you that I'm not OK with the idea of overcorrecting when it comes to racism. We need to address the problems we have without creating laws that are indeed indicative of reverse racism.

I'm sure wealthy and middle class blacks experience life quite differently than poor whites but that's beside the point. So, I'm looking at "26 charts" that purport to show that racism is alive and well. What they actually show is that blacks are behind as a group. Is this what you mean about not thinking it's because blacks are lazy or feel entitled? There could be any number of factors impacting those statistics but any disparity appears to be taken as de facto evidence of "systemic racism". Incarceration rates, for example, are better explained by much higher rates of violent crime among the black population. Why am I supposed top believe racism is afoot when better explanations are readily available?

Well, yes. There we agree but, quite frankly, I think you're part of that problem.

Let's not forget the fake epidemic of murderous cops gunning down unarmed black men with reckless abandon. This delusion was carefully nurtured by the American media and by woke progressives until it exploded in violence. Then they poured gasoline on it.
