Jewher’s father was targeted by the Chinese government for his advocacy of Uighur rights. But in recent years, the Chinese Communist Party has arbitrarily detained between 1 million and 3 million other Uighurs in so-called “reeducation centers” and forced them to undergo psychological indoctrination programs, such as studying communist propaganda and giving thanks to Chinese President Xi Jinping. Chinese officials have also reportedly used waterboarding and other forms of torture, including sexual abuse, as part of the indoctrination process.

“His wife wore veils.” “He has one more child than allowed by the family planning policy.” “He prayed after each meal.”
These are some of the reasons people in Karakax County in Xinjiang, northwestern China, are being detained in “political education” camps. Nothing done was illegal, but in Chinese authorities’ eyes, living the life of a Turkic Muslim is punishable. Their religious, linguistic, and cultural differences are deemed evidence of disloyalty to the Chinese Communist Party.

China’s oppression of its minority groups has spilled beyond its own borders, targeting Tibetans and Uyghurs living overseas. Recently, members of Tibetan and Uyghur minority groups settled in Canada have increasingly faced severe harassment and intimidation by Chinese officials. The targeted individuals, including university students, women, and human rights activists, have closely been monitored by Chinese authorities through constant surveillance and have received many threatening messages, including death threats. This demonstrates that China’s severe human rights violations against minority groups is no longer merely a domestic issue, but a global one.

You nailed it.. What is different is the Chinese Communist Party. Beginning under the Evil Mao they were out to break all cultural and historic norms and have done so. You know that the Chinese people never historically ate, Bats, Dogs, Scorpions etc.. it was the food shortages caused by the CCP that caused famine and then the CCP made it normal to eat these foods, because there was no other choice.

Communism is why Chinese people forced to eat bush meat. Remember China is an insanely poor place despite illusions to the contrary.

As famine escalated, anything edible was consumed..One of the greatest butchering of wild animals in history took place during this time. Even the giant panda, praised as China’s ‘national treasure’, was not spared.

    https://swarajyamag.com/news-brief/w...illed-millions

    While bushmeat was
    once consumed
primarily by poor and rural communities, it is now being consumed by the middle class as a luxury item.
