    Not in the damned brochure!

A friend's daughter just started a new job and was COVID exposed despite having had the disease she had to get tested for work. Cost her a couple hundred bucks a sher insurance hadn't kicked in yet. May also keep her out of work for a few days as the store demanded the long test. Cost her a couple hundred bucks to do what she has been ordered to do by a governmenrt who has thrown trillions at this. What if she hadn't had a creit card? Of all the give aways getting tested or vaccinated should never have a financial barrier associated with it when government action has forced it upon us. Sure maybe she'll be reimbursed by work maybe not. But that's not the point. What piece of all these trillions was more important than following their COVID related orders so they can get on with their lives?

A lot of businesses are taking precautions that are not government mandated. There may be some such mandate in place where she's living, but then again maybe not.

The stupid tests aren't even that accurate, this entire thing is a sham.

In LA County she would be required to get tested or quarantine for 14 days. That would be two weeks off work and not likely paid if this is a new job.

It was a known exposeure to a positive person. I'm sure she will ask for reimbursement but that just puts the burden on another party. Which might be appropriate if they did demand above and beyond?
So much money, some of it pure pork and you know there will be massive duplication of related service and data because government. So much pressure to get tested , get immunized etc. . Two trillion is around $6,000.00 for every American I feel like they could swing it.
BTW guess what I had to show to get my vaccine? Yup an ID

What she had worn her mask and taken better care of herself? A private company can insist on a test but they have to provide it, a government cannot insist, so I don't where you got that idea.

If an employer requires a test they have to provide it.

The business has the right to do this but they have simply been influenced by the government's incoherent messaging and the media's non stop fear mongering.

Nope. She is not an employee yet. They can require you get a bus ticket to San Diego at your expense prior to your being hired. You have the choice not to apply or accept a job.
