Should the tPF OP be able to request a thread warning but not a thread ban?

Would it be better of the original poster of a tPF thread could recommend a warning instead of a thread ban?

Mister Veritis, I think it would a good option for the OP to have to request a warning if that OP wanted to. I also think that the mods should have the liberty to reject the TB request. I also think that some members abuse the tpf function ( you saw my one and only ban request today so far - by the way)

That's the way it was initially conceived, and the way it is written up in the rules. That is why there must be a rule violation and the OP should state it.

I think Warnings are a good idea.

I also think MODs should be able to justify any action as a clear Rule Violation, not fall back on the OP making a stink.
