Perhaps that's because half of all Americans earn less than $30K per year: Half Of Americans Make Less Than $30,000 Per Year - Business 2 Community While the poverty threshold is set somewhere closer to $12K per year, at $30K per year people are not earning enough not to have their federal taxes returned.

Actually I'll bet full PA families earn over that when benefits like free healthcare are concerned. Hell insurance is worth 18 K alone. But either way this is not a healthy system. Something is wrong including the not so market based cost of housing. Alsothere are now two kinds of poverty in america. Real poverty like the homeless and relative poverty as there will always be a bottom quadrant, but many of them have $500.00 cell phones etc

Sadly, many Conservatives support multimillionaires and billionaires even after multimillionaires and billionaires betrayed Conservatives and became Woke. Multimillionaires and billionaires waste money which could have been used to help poor and disabled people.
