    1787’s Northwest Ordinance.

The NorthwestOrdinance (formally An Ordinance for the Government of the Territory of the United States, North-West of the River Ohio, and also known as The Ordinance of 1787) enacted July 13, 1787, was an organic act of the Congress of the Confederation of the United States.

Better known as the Northwest Ordinance, it provided a path toward statehood for the territories northwest of the Ohio River, encompassing the area that would become the future states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and part of Minnesota.

In addition to information about real estate and estate planning, the 1787 ordinance also outlined a general process for acquiring statehood.

Slavery forbidden in the Northwest Territory. Slavery and involuntary servitude were forbidden in the Northwest Territory, thereby making the Ohio River a natural dividing line between the free and slave states of the country. Unanimous consent from the states was required for the Northwest Ordinance to be passed.

Before there was the Federalist Papers there was the Northwest Ordinance. Which validates that the Founding Fathers knew slavery was wrong and were always moving to get rid of Slavery. Which in the Beginning this was one of the mainstays with the Articles of Federation, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

This one piece of US History.....and all that it entails debunks everything from the left about Systemic racism and all of their Lame Arguments that the country was set up on racism. Which Hugh Hewitt and Larry Arn discuss in the Hilldale Hour. Hillsdale being the 2nd Oldest College in the Country. Alive and kicking!

Effects of the legislation. The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 established the concept of fee simple ownership, by which ownership was in perpetuity with unlimited power to sell or give it away. This was called the "first guarantee of freedom of contract in the United States".....snip~

Like Hugh Hewitt said, once the left discovers the History. They will want to avoid debating about their Racism concerning the Founding Fathers.

There is plenty of historical evidence that the Founders understood the contradiction between Slavery and Liberty. The abolitionist majority had to make unfortunate compromises to keep the Union of States together. Recall that a very poor post Revolutionary War United States with a battered unpaid Army was still surrounded by British, French, and Spanish territories.

Now that this history is being brought back out into the Light. Hannah Jones and Black Lying Marxists will be made to look like the dipshits they were created as.
