When someone's constitutional rights are being infringed by the government.

Whose rights were infringed? And even if they were, what gives the federal government the authority to dictate police procedure to local law enforcement? I could see if they said certain tactics were not to be used on peaceful protesters, but certainly not rioters.

That's what they said: Peaceful Protestors. The Federal Courts get the authority through the 14th Amendment, IIRC.

While I agree with not using force on protestors who are obeying the laws, throwing projectiles at officers qualifies as violent in my book. And, officers should be able to use force on protestors who block roadways to make them move.

Yeah I thought of when they block roads or Highways. Preventing ambulances or Firefighters to get thru. If any one dies while in ambulance or fire because of it. Then they the Peacful Protestors should be charged for murder 2nd degree, 3rd degree, and manslaughter.
