Why you should really wash your pillowcase once a week... You’re laying your precious face on dead skin cells, sweat, grease — and even dust mite poop. And it's not great for your skin.

No matter how high the thread count or how lovely the pattern, your pillowcase can be home to some serious gunk, grunge and general debris. Changing your sheets, which experts say should be done every one to two weeks, may not be a top priority. But if you want to be truly kind to yourself ― or at least to your face and your head ― you should be changing your pillowcase every week, no matter what.



Not convinced yet? OK, but this is about to get gross. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

I change my sheets/pillowcases once a week.......I've always done it......I've known about dead skin cells and dust mites for years.

Honestly, it drives me nuts. I try to post a half-dozen or so light-hearted threads every morning just for casual information. I've been doing it since lockdown. Not everything is political.

Not just for you skin but allergy and breathing issues. I have special pillow cases are are dust mite resistant and still wash them regularly.
