Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

I'm not sure why but this myth about the CRA and Southern loyalty is something progressive morons can't let go of.

Many have noted that whiteness is a fundamental part of today’s Republican Party. Our results suggest that this is nothing new and show where it came from. The Southern GOP consciously decided in the early 20th century to make itself white by excluding blacks from the party leadership. This was a necessary condition for making the Southern Republican Party viable — and ultimately dominant — in elections in the late 20th century.

Does anyone know what this is supposed to mean? Lol
As I've demonstrated about half a dozen times now, it took decades for the south to become a GOP stronghold. The south was still returning Democratic majorities to the House and Senate for over 30 years after the CRA was passed. Quite frankly, if the Democrats had really lost the south in the 1960s they would have ceased to be a viable national party.
The sad reality is that the people peddling this misinformation are either dishonest or as ignorant as their readers.
