My message to BLM is that in order to preach you have to come from a higher moral ground.

BLM members have no moral ground to stand on and preach. We have no reason to pay any attention to them.

Like most of America the black community had a strong work ethic and family structure from the post Civil War era through the 1950's. This in spite of racism and other difficulties that effect poor people of all colors and race.

What changed was the LBJ Great Society Welfare Disaster coming from Democrats. A plan to create a many generation group of government dependents who would become loyal party voters for handouts and pity.

That’s pretty simplistic and naive. While advocating for a strong work ethic and a stable family is all well and good, it ignores the complexities of systemic racism, the cycle of poverty and an entrenched system that is an uneven playing field for marginalized people, minorities and people of colour. It’s like a rich person who inherited wealth telling poor people to just be rich.

Certainly there are issues in the black community that need addressing, but simply telling people to be better is an unrealistic solution. If people think it’s as simple as this, they don’t actually understand the problem.

Except @Common Sense that is the exact formula truly oppressed groups use to climb out of the ghetto. The latinos ( often hated) are doing it right now and have about 60% of the crime and a better SOL then blacks . You deny what is actually happening in front of our noses. Keep in mind you won't see this on CNN. A proven formula out of poverty which one more group is currently using successfully. Now why wouldn't the MSM report those facts? There is a way out and current culture actually discourages it! Worse yet all of us libs and cons alike pay taxes so that more kids can be raised in the toxic ghetto. Yes both libs and cons know the ghetto itself is part of the problem but none of our politicians are talking about breaking it up. Why?

Sure....you don’t experience it, so it obviously doesn’t exist. Sort of like global warming doesn’t exist because it’s cold out today.

I don’t know what it is with some conservatives. They think any criticism of America or the acknowledgment of real problems means you hate America. I think it’s because many conservatives see the world in absolutes. Everything is black and white. Right or wrong. They seem to fear ambiguity or complexities.

Ironically, many conservatives will tell us that systemic racism doesn’t exist. And in the same breath tell us that white Christian conservatives are the real victims of oppression. It’s sort hilarious in a sad way.

When oppression is both real and severe there is no need to attack the other groups but rather just assert their rights. Like women 100 years ago and blacks in the 60's and 70's
When the oppression is questionable you have to create evidence and or use terms like "systemic racism" "white priveledge" "cultural appropriation" look to racist legislation favoring their race above other races, and express lots of out and out hate.

The real McCoy's ( in the 20's and 60's) needed no scapegoats because they had real discrimination to combat.
