    The Tax Code

The tax code is, as the article points out over 2,600 hundred pages but as is also explained that's not the half of it, literally. Because the IRS like all regulatory agencies has defacto law making authority and they use it! Another thread could be started about that whole injustice but this post is about the size of the tax code.
If you think about it how many pages do you really need? Five, ten, certainly no more that 50?
The tax concept is simple. It's a graduated income tax. This is your income. These are the rates it's taxed at. Define income , your done. Instead we have thousands of pages of exceptions. Who the hell does that? One rule followed by thousands of pages of exceptions.? Either the rule doesn't work or it isn't supposed to. It could be this simple. Other than exspenses incurred directly for your job/business nothing else is decuctible and there are no credits. It could be a bit more complex but not to the tune of thousands of pages. In fact, you could drop the entire corporate section because corporate income tax is mental masturabtion because it apparently turns on certain voters who don't realize that corporate income taxes are paid by consumers and are devastating to our economy.
I usually refer to it as the control code because of the way it is used to control our financial behavior. However the rules also serve to facilitate the purchase and sale of influence.

So whay do we put up with this bull$#@!?

Why bother. Nothing can come of it until after the revolution.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

People that think the rich are getting away with not paying anything don't understand that the US has the most progressive tax structure in the world and that the top 20% pay all of the transfer payments to the lower % and 80% of the government revenues.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

Start by getting rid of the write offs. What better time was there to get rid of the mortgage write off than when the rate was so low that the write off did not amount to much. Real Estate agents love it because it inflates prices artificially.

Except the really rich pay 20% instead opf the 40 you would pay if you won lotto. And the bottom 50% pay nothing. Neither of those things is good for the middle class.

IMO all deductions and credits not having to do with your business/job expenses could be done away with. In your example why should non home owners pay more on the same income than home owners do?
Why should single people get screwed on taxes becuse others chose to marry?
Why give people in an over populated world and country a tax break for furthering that over population?
Why should unearned income EVER be taxed at alower rate than earned income?
Why give energy credits for solar while subsudizing oil with the cost of the war necessary to protect the supply?
Why should anyone with earning not pay something? Maybe 1%?
