I would rather they use that money to help small business get people back to work again. But encouraging vaccinations by any means are still the priority around here..............

Ohio is using a mix of things to get people back to work...Less money received for staying unemployed to this "lottery" for vaccinations. If I understood the Governor correctly their program to give workers more training is geared to keep them working and let them have a chance for advancements...working with the business owners.

Arizona will end the extra unemployment benefit, too, in July.

The incentive here for people to get jobs is, for a full time job you'll get $2,000 if you keep it for 10 weeks and, for part time jobs, $1,000 if you keep it for 10 weeks.

Myself, I would just announce its ending in July and......that's it.

It is a sign of the times when people have to be paid a bonus for going to work. Personal pride in taking care of one's self or family is fast disappearing.

I think a dozen or more States have told Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi we don't want or need the money you are 'pushing' on us. I hear Cali, in the midst of the worst economic crisis in a 100 years, ran a budget SURPLUS of $75 billion last year. Of course they are gladly accepting Joe/Nancy/Chuck's extra uneeded cash, borrowed in the name of the US taxpayer, and not their name.

It just doesn't seem right. A politician going on stage and presenting scientific facts that a vaccine is no longer in an experimental stage, showing the scientific facts behind the proof I get. Holding a raffle ticket, or bingo event, where citizens have to buy into the lottery (get a shot) to win a one in a billion prize seems like an improper role for a Gov't to play.

Is it legal for the Gov't to use 'tax payer funds' to advertise and conduct a game show? Maybe it is in this upside/down world we live in today. I honestly don't know. I just know it's doesn't feel right in my gut.

Why wouldn't it be legal?
