Chaney seems to have the Dem talking points down pat, still pushing a Blue Wave that that washed out before it ever happened.

The biggest Republican gains were at the state and local levels, and that will effect the next couple election cycles.

The cheerleaders don't understand what down ballot means.

Stefanik: Cheney Is Looking Backwards, Republicans Are Unified And Looking Forward

Stefanik: Cheney Is Looking Backwards, Republicans Are Unified And Looking Forward

...She is looking backwards. Republicans -- she is looking backwards.

Republicans are looking forward. We are unified. And we are talking about conservative principles. President Trump is an important voice in the Republican Party. We are working as one team.

And voters across America, certainly voters in my district in Upstate New York, we believe that President Trump's results, whether it was the economic growth, whether it was the historic accords in the Middle East, whether it was being tough on China, or the bipartisan coronavirus relief packages, these were significant results that helped everyday Americans.

We are focused on moving forward....

I think Leanne called a Trump policy a failure because he didn’t start a new war in Syria. They were desperately hoping for a war with North Korea so they they could have their idiotic prediction fulfilled.

Cheney's "analysis" of the GOP is more pointless than a box of broken pencils. The party is moving away from the rinos to a more America first platform and yes the orange Nazi is is to blame. Old clowns like Cheney and Romney are best suited to play the oldies circuit like a band that is way past it's sell by date but refuses to retire. No one wants to pay big money to see a band with one remaining original member and hasn't had a hit since the Carter administration. Likewise no one wants to hear Romney, Cheney, Collins and the rest lecture us about Trump's evil machinations and the need for bipartisanship with a party that routinely walks all over them.
Where will the party end up is anyone's guess but the attacks on Trump are pointless as Cheney's $#@! slapping by the party proves.

yeah I saw that post. She was responding to being challenged on her claim that Trump had no policies and then went on to lie, criticize policies that she said didn't exist and list things that weren't actual policies. Talking to Leanne is like a slow motion car crash.

    More like a train wreck.

Without getting into the weeds here--and it is certainly a legitimate topic; but it is just not the one I wish to discuss here--the fact is that she claimed that the Republican Party fared disastrously under Donald Trump, losing both the House and the Senate, as well as the presidency.

Now, as regarding that final point, she has a valid claim.

But the others--well, not so much.

As Domenico Montanaro puts it in an NPR analysis--one entitled, The 2020 Election Was A Good One For Republicans Not Named Trump--"Republicans outperformed the polls up and down the ballot in the 2020 election, to the surprise even of many Republican political operatives and survey researchers."

But let us take a deeper look:

2018 Senate races: The Republicans gained two seats--cementing (for the moment, anyway) their control of the Senate.

2018 House races: The Democrats gained 41 House seats. And, at first glance, that seems like a lot.

But the president's party almost always loses a significant number of seats, net, in the midterm elections.

And the loss was actually less than most analysts predicted--and less than the Democrats expected.

2020 Senate races: The Democrats gained three seats here, making for a 50-50 tie (which includes two independents who caucus with the Democrats)--and giving the Democrats effective control, due to Kamala Harris' tie-breaking vote.

2020 House races: The Republicans gained 12 seats--somewhat better than expected--which put them within striking distance of the majority in 2022.

So the much-ballyhooed "Blue Wave" never really materialized.
Liz is a deep state favorite and someone predicted she will make a 2024 run and wouldn't you know, she is now dropping hints that she will. 2022 looks to me like it will be a wipeout of the democrat gains as the country is embroiled in the chaos of this administration and the insanity of the progressive left is exploding.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.
