Yep, Pelosi and the Deviants will be out making their comments on Repubs and the Lame Stream Media will give them a pass. Pelosi already knows the Deviants are in trouble for 2022.

GOP Rep. John Katko, the ranking member on the committee, led negotiations with the Democrats to reach a consensus about the commission. His support for the commission is being marketed by the corporate media as “bipartisan support,” but the New York representative is one of few Republicans in the House who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump the second time Democrats targeted him. Katko also blames Trump for causing the “insurrection” at the Capitol.

The commission does not have full GOP support. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy admitted he has yet to read the legislation, and other Republicans have objected to keeping the commission’s focus on Jan 6. instead of expanding it to all of the violence that occurred during the summer of rage riots last year.

A vote on the commission is expected next week.....snip~

      · John Michael Katko (born November 9, 1962 (age 58)) is an attorney currently serving as the U.S. representative from New York 's 24th congressional district. A Moderate Republican, he was elected during the 2014 Midterms, defeating …

    Another RINO to chase out.
McCarthy asked him to do the negotiating and got regular updates. McCarthy got what he wanted in the deal. He's a Trump supporter too.

McCarthy appeared to diss the deal on Friday, telling reporters he hadn’t seen the details and doubling down on his belief that any commission should also probe violence that occurred amid racial tensions last summer. But multiple sources tell us that Katko was asked by McCarthy to negotiate with Democrats and was in touch with the leader’s office about what he wanted. They also said Katko got almost everything McCarthy asked for.
Indeed, Democrats agreed to multiple demands from McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader MITCH MCCONNELL, including equal representation and subpoena power for both parties, and finishing its work before 2022, when the midterms will kick into high gear. Notably, the bill tracks closely with a GOP bill introduced earlier this year that has 30 Republican co-sponsors.
Katko’s team has told some Republicans that while the agreement’s language doesn’t specifically mention violence by left-wing protesters last summer, the commissioners can go there if they think it will help illuminate what happened on Jan. 6. (We’ll see if Democrats dispute this interpretation of the text.)

What exactly is “a GOP traitor”? And in your mind, what was the Jan 6th “incident?

Yes it was known that McCarthy tapped Katko to negotiate.

but the House GOP leader said he didn't sign off on the deal moments after it was announced.

But moments after Thompson's announcement, McCarthy said he had not approved the proposal, telling reporters that he wasn't even aware the press release was going to be sent Friday morning.

“That’s very concerning to me,” McCarthy said in response to being told that the commission would be limited in scope to the Jan. 6 riot.

"You've got to look at what the build-up before and what has gone on afterwards, otherwise the commission does not work," he said. He also accused Pelosi of having "played politics with this for a number of months."

McCarthy said Katko had told him the scope would be broader.
In a statement issued later Friday morning, Katko said the proposed commission would "investigate" the Jan. 6 attack and security vulnerabilities of the Capitol complex, but added that the "Capitol remains a target for extremists of all ideologies.".....snip~

Looks like Politico and their playbook missed all that McCarthy said. Including what McCarthy said Katko told him.

I have never liked Republicans, most of them are Zionist. I was hoping Trump was different because of his bold talk. He was disappointing in some areas, but at least he opened some eyes. Would I vote for him again, NO.

I say it's about time! Congress needs to investigate and root out all the closet vikings.

This will be nothing more than another go at Trump and will give the democrats reasons to make dumb speeches on the floor and then go in front of the cameras and drone on about 1/6 being the worst thing ever in the history of things. Meanwhile normal Americans are wondering why they need to take out a loan to buy a tank of gas.

Meanwhile the tPF golden girls will start thread after thread about the "bombshells" that aren't there.

    RIP Uncle Bosey
A great first officer but an even better second course.
