    If he is a Maine Coon cat, the average weight for a male is between 15-25 pounds, but can be higher or lower depending on the length of the cat. They are a hairy cat, so they can appear fatter than they are. Maine Coons can reach 48" in length from the tip of their nose to the end of their tail and are active cats throughout their lives, so they tend to eat more than regular cats both by virtue of their size and level of activity. Active cats require more protein than inactive cats.
