Wikileaks: no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square, cables claim

" Secret cables from the United States embassy in Beijing have shown there was no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square when China put down student pro-democracy demonstrations 22 years ago. The cables, obtained by WikiLeaks and released exclusively by The Daily Telegraph, partly confirm the Chinese government's account of the early hours of June 4, 1989, which has always insisted that soldiers did not massacre demonstrators inside Tiananmen Square....https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...les-claim.html

....continued....." for eg : The Voice of America broadcast that PLA units were firing on each other because some units were loyal to the protestors and some units were with the government. The Voice of America and U.S. media outlets tried to create confusion and panic among government supporters. Just prior to June 4 they reported that China’s Prime Minister Li Peng had been shot and that Deng Xiaoping was near death.
To be sure, they almost got what they wanted. As for the Hong Kong and Taiwan activists, they were ready conspirators. Hong Kong was facing an imminent return to the Communist country, and Taiwan at that time still considered itself the legitimate China. Both Chinese cities had reasons for a successful revolution.
Perhaps, overall, the CIA and NED did get what they wanted; after 29 years, 18,000 Hongkongers still commemorate the June 4th Incident with candle lights in the Victoria Park, and the call for the end of the CCP did not die down. As a matter of fact, 1989 probably gave birth to the Pro-Independence Taiwanese and Hongkongers. " ....https://thegeopolitics.com/the-geopo...uare-incident/

It's a pity the US doesn't do the same ......then again , the US doesn't seem to care about their internal security , preferring to spend massive amounts of money on infiltrating other countries and trying to change their governments .

In fact, the CCP put out official casualties: Official figures

Official CCP announcements shortly after the event put the number who died at around 300. At the State Council press conference on June 6, spokesman Yuan Mu said that "preliminary tallies" by the government showed that about 300 civilians and soldiers died, including 23 students from universities in Beijing, along with some people he described as "ruffians".[192][201] Yuan also said some 5,000 soldiers and police were wounded, along with 2,000 civilians. On June 19, Beijing Party Secretary Li Ximing reported to the Politburo that the government's confirmed death toll was 241, including 218 civilians (of which 36 were students), 10 PLA soldiers, and 13 People's Armed Police, along with 7,000 wounded.[154][202] Mayor Chen Xitong said on June 30 that the number of injured was around 6,000.[201]

From your "wiki" link DG : " Several people who were situated around the square that night, including former Beijing bureau chief of The Washington Post Jay Mathews[c] and CBS correspondent Richard Roth[d] reported that while they had heard sporadic gunfire, they could not find enough evidence to suggest that a massacre took place on the Square itself. Taiwan-born Hou Dejian was present in the square to show solidarity with the students and claimed that he didn't see any massacre occurring in the square. He was quoted by Xiaoping Li, a former China dissident to have stated, "Some people said 200 died in the square, and others claimed that as many as 2,000 died. There were also stories of tanks running over students who were trying to leave. I have to say I did not see any of that. I was in the square until 6:30 in the morning."[212]
Similarly, in 2011, three secret cables from the United States embassy in Beijing claimed no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square itself. A Chilean diplomat who had been positioned next to a Red Cross station inside the square told his US counterparts that he did not observe any mass firing of weapons into the crowds in the Square itself, although sporadic gunfire was heard. He said that most of the troops who entered the Square were armed only with anti-riot gear."

Looks like those who bought the wikipedia , and now "control it" , have dragged it down to CNN level , in a bid to cover up another CIA blunder . There was nowhere even close to 10,000 students killed in these CIA initiated protests in China ......what a croc of media shyit .

    The Hi-jacking of the Wiki

" The blacklisting is the result of a long-running campaign run by a coterie of regime-change activists who have effectively hijacked Wikipedia, scrubbing the site of information that runs counter to their sectarian agenda and editing their political adversaries out of existence. " ........" The foundation’s largest donors include corporate tech giants Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Craigslist. With more than $145 million in assets in 2018, nearly $105 million in annual revenue, and a massive headquarters in San Francisco, Wikimedia has carved out a space for itself next to these Big Tech oligarchs in the Silicon Valley bubble.
It is also impossible to separate Wikipedia as a project from the ideology of its creator. When he co-founded the platform in 2001, Jimmy “Jimbo” Wales was a conservative libertarian and devoted disciple of right-wing fanatic Ayn Rand.
A former futures and options trader, Wales openly preached the gospel of “Objectivism,” Rand’s ultra-capitalist ideology that sees government and society itself as the root of all evil, heralding individual capitalists as gods." .......https://thegrayzone.com/2020/06/11/m...operative-ceo/
